We’re bringing The Ultimate Pet Friendly Road Trip to the East Coast, and we’re starting in Charleston! Celebrate Earth Day with us and the Charleston Animal Society at a Re-Home, Re-Love, Rescue Event on Saturday, April 22nd, from 11am to 2pm EDT at the shelter facility.
Rod and I will be celebrating Earth Day at the Charleston Animal Society, and we hope you’ll join us! Bring your paper towel tubes, tube socks, and plastic Easter eggs – we’ll recycle them into enrichment items for the dogs and cats. Clean out your drawers and closets because the shelter also needs the following household items: bath towels, pet shampoo, washable toys, small blankets for cats, electric heating pads/blankets, Kongs and other enrichment toys, black sharpies, cardstock, and copy paper.
We’ll be sharing tips and information about traveling with your pets, and will do a LIVE question and answer session on the Charleston Animals Society’s Facebook page. We’ll also have a huge raffle for some fantastic pet travel gear, and provide goodie bags to the first 50 pet lovers to say hello.
Come on out … you might meet your perfect travel buddy! Adoptions fees will be REDUCED BY HALF for all adult dogs (1 yr and older) on Saturday (4/22) and Sunday (4/23).
We hope to see you in Charleston, but if you can’t make that events – no worries! We’ll be co-hosting 12 more along the tour route with partners like The Humane Society of the United States, The Shelter Pet Project, and local animal shelters and rescues! Click here for dates and locations.
We wouldn’t be doing this wonderful trip if not for the support of our fantastic sponsors: Winnebago, PetHub, PetGuide.com, The Bark, Sleepypod, 2 Hounds Design, RVPetSafety.com, Alcott, The Honest Kitchen, Red Roof Inns, and goDog®. Please visit their websites and social media pages and thank them for their participation!
