Canine Companions for Independence (CCI) – an organization that raises and trains dogs to be service animals for people with disabilities – is holding their first ever DogFest Walk ‘n Roll in Denver on October 3rd, and we’re going to be there!
The festival is being held at Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium, and the main event is a community dog walk that supports the mission of CCI. Not only have Ty and Buster signed me up for the walk – but we’re organizing our own team – and we hope you’ll grab a leash, your favorite walking partner, and join us!
If you can’t be there that day, you can still help – the boys are worried that I’ll raid their treat fund to make my contribution goal, so they’re expecting me to raise donations for the walk! Every dollar you commit helps to ensure that Ty and Buster can continue loafing around like a couple of goofballs eating bon-bons while I’m out breaking a sweat.
If you’ll do the giving, I’ll do the walking, the boys will do the lounging … and together we’ll help get more of the amazing CCI assistance dogs into the lives of those who need them. Click here to sponsor us – we truly appreciate your support!
The opening ceremonies begin at 9am on Saturday, October 3rd, and the dog walk will follow. Afterward there will be fun actives for the whole family, so be sure to stop by the GoPetFriendly.com motorhome parked in the lot – we should easy to find!
We’re looking forward to seeing everyone there – we hope you can make it!
