To keep content fresh for our readers, we ask that you stick to writing about experiences that occurred within the past year.

We do not allow reviews that contain promotional links or content.

Relevant

Make your reviews relevant and helpful to other pet travelers. Keep in mind they are reading your review to understand what their experience with the business might be like. For this reason, please don’t include any personal opinions about politics, ethics, religion or wider social issues. Questions directed to property owners or other travelers will be removed. Questions directed at GoPetFriendly will not be published.

Unbiased

Reviews are most helpful when they provide unbiased advice. We don’t allow individuals or entities who own or are affiliated with a property to post reviews of their business or competing establishments. Nor do we allow reviews for which you’ve received compensation. If you suspect a review is fake or doesn’t meet GoPetFriendly’s content policies, you can use the “Report as Inappropriate” link.

First-Hand

Our community wants to hear about your experience. This means no second-hand information, rumors, or quotations from other sources. Please, only provide reviews based on substantial experiences you’ve had and be sure to include enough detail in your review that other travelers will find your advice helpful.

Please follow standard etiquette when writing your review. Do not use ALL CAPS, excessive typographic symbols, HTML tags or slang.

You may write one review of a given establishment, and we have a minimum and maximum character count for reviews. Fill up the space with details about your trip and and do not include extra characters or spaces.

Submissions must relate directly to the property to which it is submitted, so please ensure you are submitting your content to the correct listing on GoPetFriendly. If you post content to a specific business on our site it must be for an accommodation, restaurant, or attraction that meets our listing requirements.

Based on short-term stays

We welcome you to share your thoughts on any stay that is 30 days or less.

Relevant to travelers

Keep in mind that our reviews are intended to help travelers with their vacation plans – as such, we kindly ask that you stick to writing about vacation rentals only. That means no reviews on corporate, interim, transitional, or temporary housing.

Written after check-in

We kindly ask that you write about your experiences after you check in to your vacation rental. To help ensure authenticity in our reviews, we currently don’t accept submissions that occur during the reservation process or before arrival at the property.

Verifiable by the name on the rental contract

To help ensure authenticity in our reviews, the person in your party who signed the lease agreement should submit the review.

Can be documented by rental owner

If a vacation rental owner cannot confirm that a reviewer was a guest, we send the guest a request for documentation. This is simply to ensure that the correct owner and property is credited for your review.
