Baseball is back, and what’s better than enjoying America’s pastime with your best friend? Anything that includes hotdogs and popcorn is a dog’s dream come true, so we’ve gathered the schedule of Major League Baseball’s 2018 dog friendly ball games.
It’s exciting to see more “Bark in the Park” and “Dog Days,” being added in major and minor league ballparks across the country. For these events, a special section of the stands is usually reserved for people attending their pups. Not only is it a unique opportunity to make #pawsomememories with your pup, but a portion of the dog friendly ticket proceeds generally goes to benefit local shelters and rescues.
If your pup is ready to woof, woof, woof for his favorite team, get your tickets now. Or really make his summer and plan a pet friendly road trip around the country to catch a bunch of dog friendly games!
In addition to the games listed above, the Arizona Diamondbacks have “Dog Days of Summer” ticket packages available for 17 Sunday and Monday home games starting at $160. Admission includes a semi-private space on the dog friendly patio for four humans and one dog, all-you-can-eat hot dogs, soda, water, popcorn, peanuts, chips, and access to the outdoor/indoor (air conditioned) dog park.
The San Diego Padres also offer an elevated backyard-inspired setting that is dog friendly for all their home games. Priced starting at $104, the “Barkyard Package” includes admission to a semi-private, dog-friendly viewing area in left-center field for up to four people and two dogs.
Each stadium has its own requirements for proof of vaccinations, weight limits, waivers, and other particulars, so be sure to visit the website or call the ticket office to confirm the details in advance. And remember, many minor league baseball teams have similar “Bark at the Park” promotions, so check them out, too.
And now the words every dog’s been waiting to hear … LET’S PLAY BALL!!
