Dog Tag Art: Best Pet Travel Gear of 2012

Best Pet Travel Gear 2012 Badge

In this special Saturday edition, we bring you another recipient of the Best Pet Travel Gear awards!

Living full-time in the RV with Buster and Ty gives us the unique opportunity to road test the latest and greatest in pet travel gear. Some things have worked great – others left a little to be desired. And a handful of things have made a real difference in our lives – those are the ones we want you to know about!

What qualities appeal to us? We like products that are easy to use, durable, a good value for the money, and somehow improve our pet travel experience. We put them through their paces – get them dirty and slobbery – to see how well they hold up. Only the best of the best can withstand Ty and Buster’s abuse, and they deserve the accolades.

We hope you’re enjoying the last weekend of summer! To celebrate the change of season, we’ve spent the week announcing the recipients of our Best Pet Travel Gear 2012 awards and giving you the chance to win. Today we’re bestowing the honor on Dog Tag Art’s Pet ID Tags.

Making sure your pet’s ID tags are up-to-date is a must before you hit the road – and if it’s time for new tags, you might as well get ones that look great, right?!

Dog Tag Art is a website where you can design customized tags for your dogs and cats by uploading your own photos or artwork – or choosing from the pages of images available in their pet tag gallery. Buster and Ty’s new tags are true to the theme and have all their vital information the back.

For $12 each, the tags are well-made with a stainless steel core, guaranteed for life, and come with a handy tag silencer that keeps them from jingling. The website is a cinch to use – the hardest part was deciding which pictures we wanted! And, after months of wear, Ty and Buster’s tags are not scratched or chipped.

Your Chance To Win

Three lucky winners will get to create a custom pet tag for their cat or dog! To enter, just visit the Dog Tag Art website and answer the trivia question below.

This contest is now closed. Congratulations to the winners, Carrie Noar, Lina Ovhoa and Lizzi Kadow!

  • I would think that any of the engraving places would make as many of them as you wanted.

  • Sue Muir says:

What a great round up of products:) It’s almost enough for us to move to the US and start travelling … but then I read about the scorpions and West Nile virus and decided maybe not:)

  • My dog has a cbrm tag , can you get copies of it? She has more then one collar so I’d like one for each incase anything happened

  • How cute are these? And for only $12, I could buy multiples! One for every collar!

  • You’ve had some great stuff this week! Those tags are awesome!
