On Saturday October 17 and Sunday October 18, GoPetFriendly will be in New York City for Meet the Breeds™. This event will showcase nearly 160 American Kennel Club® registered dog breeds and 41 Cat Fancier Association® cat breeds. Each breed will be shown in a booth that is decorated to reflect its heritage, characteristics, and attributes as a pet. You can pet the dogs and cats and learn about them directly from breed experts.
The gathering will also feature shopping, children’s activities, and MANY demonstrations – from canine actors, law enforcement, and first aid services to agility, grooming, and handling. Stop by the cat and dog demo rings, which will be running all day, both days, to experience the world of events that you can enjoy with your pets!
GPF is a proud sponsor of Meet the Breeds™ and will be on hand to provide live demonstrations of our website and tips on how to plan travel for your entire pack. Visit us at booth 439 to get your GPF wristband and enter to win GPF hats, t-shirts, and doggie bag holders.
A featured guest at the GPF booth will be Pups, The Traveling Labrador. A little black Lab, Pups has traveled throughout the world, and we’re happy to host him for the weekend. Pups has an extensive wardrobe, and it will be interesting to see his Big Apple fashion statement.
Housekeeping: The event will be held at the Javits Center on 11th Avenue between 34th & 39th Streets from 10 am to 5 pm on both days. Tickets can be purchased through next Friday – $10 for adults and $6 for kids 12 and under. At the door, prices go up by $2. Finally, you cannot bring your own pet because of the hundreds of cats and dogs that will be at the breed booths.
