Pet Travel. Made Easy.

Pet Friendly Washington DC

Welcome to Washington, DC – the biggest pet friendly park in the United States. If ever there was a place where tourists could take their dogs along to see the sites, this is it! We’re just starting our pet friendly travels, and already Washington is setting the bar high. We’re looking forward to showing you around our country’s capital … Ty and Buster got us up bright and early to walk over to the White House.

Woof! Mr. President, can Bo come out and play?!

As the temperature climbed into the 60s, we headed to The Mall.  First up, a walk along the Reflecting Pool to visit the Lincoln Memorial.

How many dog years in four score and twenty?

Then over to the National World War II Memorial and the Washington Monument.

Look … I’m as tall as the Washington Monument!

And finally to the Capitol Building.

Who do we see about the dog friendly tour?

After a six hour walk, Buster surrenders.

We still have to walk back to the hotel? Carry me …

Overall, Washington gets two duclaws up!  We were amazed by (1) all the pet friendly places we could walk the boys and (2) all the dog friendly people who stopped to chat with us. There are plenty of pet friendly hotels in Washington DC to choose from, so start making your plans for an outstanding vacation in the Nation’s Capitol!
