Very few theme parks welcome pets on the grounds, so this list of theme parks and tours with kennels will help you decide which destination is best for your whole family. Relax and enjoy the rides knowing your furry family member is comfortable.

Theme Parks and Tours With Pet Kennels

Planning a day during your vacation where your pet isn’t allowed is no reason to leave him home! He’ll enjoy any time you get to spend together. And, if you choose one of these theme parks or tours with kennels, your pet will have a nice place to hang out for the day.

California

Disneyland Resort Kennel Club
Anaheim, California

The Disneyland Resort Kennel club is a climate-controlled daycare facility located near the main entrance to Disneyland park. Dogs must have proof of rabies, distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, and bordetella vaccinations. Cats must have proof of rabies, panleulaopenia, rhinotracheitus and calcivirus vaccinaitons. The cost is $20 per pet, per day. Available on a first-come, first-served basis, the kennels are not available for overnight accommodations. You’re welcome to bring a blanket, bed, bowls, and toys for your pet.

SeaWorld

SeaWorld provides a pet facility for $25 per kennel on a first-come, first-serve basis. The kennels are outside under some cover and measure approximately 4 feet by 8 feet. You must bring your own bed, bowls, and food. There is water available onsite, and you’re welcome to visit your pet throughout the day.

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor

Pet boarding is free at the Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, located in the main parking lot. See a parking attendant for the location. Pets may not be left in unattended vehicles while you visit the park.

Six Flags Magic Mountain

The kennel at Six Flags Magic Mountain is free and located in the main parking lot. See a parking attendant for the location. Proof of rabies vaccination is required by Los Angeles County to use the kennel. Pets may not be left in unattended vehicles while you visit the park.

Florida

Kennedy Space Center

The Kennedy Space Center offers a free, climate-controlled kennel for their visitors. Ask a crew member at the entrance for assistance to access the kennel. Water, bowls, and waste bags are available, and you’re welcome to bring a bed, food, treats, and toys for your pet. Reservations are not accepted, and no overnight accommodations are available. When checking in with your pet, please provide the following:

  • proof of current vaccinations
  • veterinarian contact information
  • emergency contact information for someone NOT in the space center complex
  • a leash (non-retractable and 6 feet or less) or pet carrier
  • a collar with identification tags

SeaWorld
Orlando, Florida

There are 31 pet kennels at SeaWorld Orlando, ranging in size from small to extra large. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis and can be found outside the main entrance.

The kennels cost $15 per day and are climate-controlled and staffed from the time the park opens until 1/2 hour after the park closes. Please have a copy of your pet’s vaccination record available when checking in. You’re responsible for walking your dog during the day, and may bring a blanket or bed, food and treats for your pet.

Universal Orlando Resort

Universal Orlando provides pet kennels on a first-come, first-served basis for $15 per pet, per day. To locate the kennel, follow signs to the RV and Camper parking lot and park on the left side. Pets can be dropped off as early as 8 am. Staff is onsite until two hours after the park closes, and your pet can stay unattended until 3 am. However, you must return at least once per day to walk your pet.

Dogs and cats weighing less than 39 pounds are welcome in the air conditioned indoor kennel. Larger dogs are boarded in covered 7-foot by 4-foot outdoor pens with cooling fans. Water is available, and you’re welcome to bring a blanket, food and toys for your pet. Proof of vaccination for dogs must include rabies, DHPP and bordetella. Cats must have proof of vaccination for rabies, calicivirus, panleukopenia and rhinotrachetitis.

Walt Disney World Resorts

Best Friends Pet Care at Walt Disney World offers a luxury, full-service pet resort with a wide range of activities, amenities and extras. Located across from Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort, this 50,000-square foot complex can accommodate 300 dogs, cats, and pocket pets. It also includes a full-service grooming salon and two 1,100-square foot doggy daycare rooms.

Pets may be boarded overnight or visit for the day, and fees vary depending on the services selected. Pets must have written proof of vaccination. Dogs must be up to date on rabies, DHPP, and bordetella. Cats have current FVRCP and rabies vaccinations.

Busch Gardens

Busch Gardens provides on-site kennels at the front of the main parking lot across from the tram stop. The air-conditioned facility is staffed during park hours, and the cost is $25 per pet, per day. Proof of vaccination and a current rabies tag are required, and you’re responsible for walking your dog during the day. You may bring a blanket or bed, food and treats for your pet.

 

Georgia

Six Flags Over Georgia provides on-site kennels, which are located in the East Lot as you approach the Front Gate. A fee applies and water is available onsite. Pets must have proof of vaccinations.

Wild Animal Safari

Indiana

Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari Theme Park

Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari provides both air-conditioned and outdoor kennel options. Available on a first-come, first-served basis, the kennel fees are $20 per day indoors and $10 per day outdoors. If two pets share a kennel, there is an additional fee of $5 for the second pet.

The kennels are staffed and open during park hours, but owners are required to walk their pets during the day. Pets can be checked in at Holiday World Services, and must have proof of vaccinations. You may bring a blanket, food, and treats for your pet.

Michigan

Missouri

New Hampshire

Story Land Children’s Theme Park

Story Land provides complimentary, self-service kennels on a first-come, first-served basis. The 26 outdoor, covered kennels are located next to the train depot in the north end of the main parking lot.

To check-in, visit the kennels and choose the one you would like. Then visit Yum Yum Junction (ring the doorbell) to receive a lock code. Water bowls are available, but you should bring any items your pet needs to be comfortable. Also, plan to walk your pet during the day.

North Carolina

Biltmore Estate

Leashed pets are welcome to enjoy grounds and gardens with you at Biltmore Estate. However, they are not permitted inside Biltmore House or other buildings. Biltmore provides a very limited number of outdoor, unattended kennels for your use. They are self-service and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

To access the kennels, see a parking host upon your arrival at the estate. You should bring your pet’s bowls, water, food and any items your pet needs to be comfortable. Also, if you’ll be leaving him long, plan to walk your pet during the day.

Carowinds provides complimentary, climate-controlled kennels on a first-come, first-served basis. Located just left of the Main North Gate in front of section #9, the kennel welcome all types of pets, as long as an appropriate kennel is available.

The kennel is open during park hours, and overnight boarding is not available. Water is provided and you may bring a blanket, food, treats, and toys for your pet’s comfort. You should plan to walk your pet during the day.

Ohio

Located near the Bay Harbor Restaurant, Cedar Point provides climate-controlled kennels on a first-come, first-served basis. Available from one hour before the park opens, until it closes, the cost is $15 per pet, per day.

Water is provided, and you can bring a blanket, food, treats, and toys for your pet. Overnight boarding is not available, and you should plan to walk your pet during the day.

Oregon

Pennsylvania

Hershey Park welcomes pets in their “Barking Lot” from mid-May through mid-September. Located under the West Stand of the stadium near the park entrance, space is available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

All dogs must have proof of vaccinations for rabies, distemper, and bordatella, and be flea/tick free. Overnight boarding is not available, and pets may not be left in vehicles.

 

Tennessee

Ruby Falls

Ruby Falls provides four shaded, complimentary kennels on a first-come, first-served basis. Small animals, or animals that might try to escape, should be placed inside a pet crate or carrier in the kennel.

DollyWood

DoggyWood at DollyWood is a climate-controlled, indoor dog care facility, located adjacent to Guest Services at the front gate of the park. Reservations are highly recommended. DoggyWood is open during park hours, and no overnight accommodations are available.

Fees range from $25 to $35 per day for the kennels and “cottages.” Cottages can be shared by two dogs for an additional $5 fee. You’ll need to provide your pet’s proof of vaccinations and food and plan to walk your dog during during the day.

Texas

Seaworld
San Antonio, Texas

Seaworld San Antonio’s pet kennels are outdoor, covered, and unattended. They are located off the main guest parking lot, and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Bowls and water are available onsite, and kennel locks are keys are provided. You may bring a blanket, food, and snacks for your pet, and should plan to walk and provide water for him throughout the day. Overnight accommodations are not available.

Six Flags Fiesta Texas

At Six Flags Fiesta Texas, the pet kennels are located to the right of the Main Entrance. Overnight accommodations are not available, and pets and must have proof of vaccination and registration tags.

Virginia

Busch Gardens

Busch Gardens accepts reservations at their climate-controlled pet care facility. Located in the England parking lot, the fee is $10 per pet, per day.

While the kennels are attended, the staff will only provide water and notify you if your pet is in distress. You’ll be responsible for walking your pets during the day, and should bring any times that will make your pet more comfortable.

Ontario, Canada

Canada’s Wonderland

Canada’s Wonderland provides an air-conditioned facility where dogs and cats can stay for a daily fee of $6. The kennels are self-serve, meaning you’ll be responsible for providing your pet’s water, food and exercise. Water is available onsite and bowls are provided.

Pets must use one of the provided kennels. For the comfort of your pet, they must be able to stand and turn around in the kennel, and the largest kennel available is 71cm (H) x 116cm (W) x 68cm (D). Pets cannot be left in vehicles.
