Your Dog’s Photo Can Help Save Lives! #FuelTheLove

Zuke's - Fuel the LoveA couple of weeks ago  Zuke’s launched a social media campaign titled “Fuel the Love to Fuel the Cure,”  which will help support The Dog and Cat Cancer Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to understanding, treating, and preventing canine and feline cancer. With six million dogs and almost as many cats diagnosed each year with cancer in the United States, nearly everyone knows someone who’s had a pet afflicted by this epidemic. The Fuel the Love campaign will help provide financial assistance to pet parents whose dogs and cats are battling cancer.

The Inspiration

More than a decade ago a dog named Zuke inspired Patrick Meiering to start making healthy treats for active dogs, and the Zuke’s brand was born. Patrick wanted to do something special – make natural, nutritious and delicious treats in the USA, so people could give them to their pets without worry. When Patrick lost Zuke to cancer, the company helped found The Dog and Cat Cancer Fund and started donating a portion of all product sales to help others fighting the disease. Now they’re taking their generosity to the next level, and inviting you to join in the fun!

Pet Photos Saving Lives

Since Zuke was a energetic, happy dog, Zuke’s wants to see photos of your dogs loving life! And, for every person who follows @ZukesPets on Instagram or Twitter and tags their action-packed photo or video with #FuelTheLove, Zuke’s will donate $5 to The Dog and Cat Cancer Fund … up to $10,000. Photos like this … Buster on the Beach - Cannon Beach, Oregon or this … Ty at Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller Park - Woodstock, VT   … are perfect for the “Fuel the Love to Fuel the Cure” campaign.

So, hop on over to Twitter or Instagram and post a photo of your dog out having fun, and help fight cancer at the same time! Here’s the tweet we sent yesterday:

You should know … Much to Ty and Buster’s droolite, Zuke’s is one of our sponsors. However, the opinions expressed here are my own. Just mine. Unless they’re yours, too.

  • I’m so sorry, Allison. Losing them is never easy, but cancer is an especially awful thief. I hope your happy memories of Liam have helped to heal your broken heart.

  • I lost my Golden Retriever Liam to Cancer. :-(.

  • Mary Hone says:

We have Instagramed a couple photos too. And we are taking part in the blog hop on Friday. We love Zukes and I really think this campaign is awesome.
